New Platform Improves Gale Virtual Reference Library’s Look, Functionality

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 22, 2007 – Gale Virtual Reference Library has officially launched on an upgraded platform, bringing significant enhancements to Gale Virtual Reference Library’s interface and functionality.

After gathering feedback from hundreds of librarians and their patrons, the following changes were made:

Search Within Results: Run searches and further refine results by adding another search term in the left-hand sidebar.
Enhanced Sidebar Functionality: Narrows results by document type and publication.
Enhanced Document Display with "Tools:" Helps identify what can be done with a document: print, email, download, cite and translate.
Accurate MLA and APA Citations: Includes full formatting.
Number of Documents on the Tab Name: Helps identify the number of articles available on each tab.
Persistent "Search Within This Publication:" Located on an enhanced "About this Publication" display.
Results Always Sorted by Relevance
